A Perfect Sample Does Not Guarantee a Perfect Order

You receive a sample from a new supplier. It looks excellent. The finish is right, the quality is good and everything matches your specification. So you place the order.

Unfortunately, one good sample does not always guarantee that 500, 5,000 or 50,000 products will be manufactured to the same standard.

During mass production, suppliers may:

  • Change materials

  • Use different components

  • Rush production

  • Use different workers or production lines

  • Reduce quality to save costs

That is why quality control in China should not stop when the sample is approved.

The approved sample should become the standard that production is measured against.

At EAST WEST SOURCING, we help buyers maintain visibility during production and arrange inspections before shipment where required.

Because the important question is not: “Was the sample good?”

It is: “Is the entire order as good as the sample?”
